String Cheese Kimbap

String cheese really seems to have endless recipe possibilities. Kimbap, which is loved by people of all ages, is something I personally enjoy a lot too. This time, I’m going to make it a little differently.

(Feel free to continue, and I can help with the rest if you'd like!)

Ingredients:

21g Clatvelle string cheese
Lettuce or cabbage
Pickled radish or pickles
Sandwich-style sliced ham
Kimbap seaweed (nori)
Honey mustard sauce

Instructions:

  1. Cook the rice so it’s fluffy. Add a bit of salt, vinegar, sesame oil, and sesame seeds to mix it well and flavor it. Since Clatvelle string cheese isn’t salty, but sliced ham can be, adjust the salt accordingly.
  2. Wash the lettuce or cabbage thoroughly, as you’ll be using it in the kimbap, and make sure to remove all excess water.
  3. Pickled radish has a strong sweet and sour taste, so it’s a good idea to rinse it before adding. If you’re not a fan of pickled radish, you can use pickles instead.
  4. Slice the sandwich-style ham in half and prepare it for the roll.
  5. As usual, spread the rice evenly on the seaweed and layer the ingredients one by one. If you place all the ingredients on top of the sliced ham, when you cut it, all the ingredients will stay neatly inside the ham.
  6. Add the string cheese and drizzle honey mustard sauce over the ham and ingredients. Be careful not to add too much mustard, as it can overpower the other flavors?just enough for balance!
  7. Roll it up tightly, slice, and you’re done!
Now, just place the kimbap on a plate and enjoy. The crunchiness of the pickled radish and cabbage, the saltiness of the ham, and the honey mustard sauce all come together perfectly, with the chewy string cheese adding an extra layer of flavor. Kimbap really is delicious with any ingredients, isn’t it?
