Gruyere

A cheese made using raw milk from the Fribourg region of Switzerland and aged for a long period.
It is saltier, with a stronger taste and aroma compared to Emmental, and has a walnut-like flavor with a creamy texture and a slight tang.

Place of Origin: Fribourg, Switzerland

Cheese Classification: Hard Cheese / Cooked-Pressed Cheese

Characteristics:
It has a dense, smooth texture, and pairs well with white wines that have a bitter taste and fruity aroma, or light red wines.
When used in fondue, it offers an authentic fondue experience.
